There are events that last a single evening.
And there are platforms that build systems.
Thirty-two seasons later, Fashion Weekend Skopje is no longer just a fashion calendar. It is an architecture and a structure that shapes the scene, connects industries, and creates cultural continuity.
From March 27 to 29, 2026, the 32nd edition of Fashion Weekend Skopje, powered by UNIBank, positions Skopje as an active participant in the global fashion conversation. This spring energy will be hosted at Diamond Mall—a contemporary urban space that reflects this very transformation: open, flexible, and European.
With the support of UNIBank as the general partner, this edition emphasizes fashion as both an economic and cultural force—an industry that generates value, drives digital transformation, and normalizes sustainability as part of a new business ethic.

A Cultural Bridge: From Beijing to Skopje
The program opens with presentations and runway showcases by three Chinese fashion and jewelry designers, supported by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in North Macedonia.
The audience will experience a synthesis of traditional and contemporary aesthetics, while the discussion that follows will explore fashion as a component of national identity—a materialized history worn on the body.
Digital Transformation: 3D, AI, and the New Generation
As part of the Erasmus+ initiative Green DigiFashTechManager—a two-year European project funded by the European Union and supported by Green Land Group—the Macedonian Fashion Association and FWSK present the exhibition “3D & AI in Fashion.”
The exhibition and accompanying discussions map regional practices at the intersection of fashion, 3D technology, and artificial intelligence, with a focus on a new generation of digital creatives. Featured contributors include Nikola Eftimov, Angela Donevska, Emilija Slavkova, Aleksandra Filipova and BlackBello, Cvetanka Garevska Janevska, Lirka, and Bastet Noir.
A special dimension of the project comes through the long-standing collaboration with the Academy of Graphic Design at Semos Education. Seventeen students and alumni, mentored by Bojan Budzarovski and Erina Bogoeva, developed more than 33 creative solutions for the central theme of FWSK32 using AI and digital tools.
The official visual identity for this season is created by Edita Zekirović. All works will be presented as part of a curated photo exhibition during FWSK32, demonstrating that the future of visual language is already here.

The Nordic-Baltic Narrative: Sustainability as a System
This season, FWSK also presents the international project “Green and Sustainable Fashion: The Nordic-Baltic Story.”
In March, the country will host a design residency bringing together ten designers from the Nordic-Baltic region and North Macedonia. The shared vision is clear: sustainability is not a trend, but a long-term industrial strategy. The residency will result in a capsule collection and artistic objects to be showcased at Fashion Weekend Skopje.
The project is organized by the Embassy of Sweden in North Macedonia, in partnership with the Office of the Embassy of Lithuania, the Embassies of Denmark, Finland, and Norway in Serbia, and the Macedonian Fashion Association, with support from the Nordic Council of Ministers.
This model of cross-border collaboration highlights the transformative power of collective creation in times of global industry challenges.
Book promotion
As part of its project activities, the Rotary Club Skopje Center enabled the digital edition of the book “Clothing and Fashion, from History to the Present” by Zorka Todorova-Mladenović.
Culture does not create itself—it is built with vision and with people who believe in it. Dedicated to a story yet to be fully told—the story of historical costume and fashion in the world and in North Macedonia—this book explores their development, creative energy, and cultural imprint.
It will now receive a printed edition, becoming part of the cultural heritage for future generations—a rare document in the Macedonian language and a testament to clothing across centuries and today.
The Runway as a Final Statement
The runway program presents a carefully curated and balanced selection between the established fashion scene and the new generation of designers:
Robert Ivanovski with the collection “Origo” (supported by Dusa Winery)
Terziya with “Vortex” (supported by ZIA Jewelry and Dusa Winery)
The student show “Ecliptica” by the Faculty of Art and Design at European University Skopje
GEORGIYA with “Season IV”
A student show by the Fashion Design department at the Faculty of Art and Design, International Balkan University
Marija Stanojovska with “Dissonance”
Marigona Rahmani with “MarahGarden”
The International Fashion Institute “Izet Curi,” represented by students Rejhana Vinca, Miradije Selimi, and Doruntina Kashtanjeva. The program culminates with the show by Olgica Gjorgieva.
This will not be merely a sequence of shows. It is a cross-section of the contemporary Macedonian fashion scene—its voices, its experiments, and its maturity.
Thirty-two seasons later, Fashion Weekend Skopje demonstrates that fashion can function as infrastructure: a space where culture, technology, diplomacy, and economy intersect. Fashion is not surface—it is construction. And this spring, it is being built once again, before our eyes.
