PROGRAMME FWSK31 powered by UNIBank
Skopje once again takes its place on the regional fashion map with a concept that not only showcases style – but redefines it. From October 29 to November 5, 2025, the city will host the 31st edition of Fashion Weekend Skopje powered by UNIBank – the country’s leading fashion platform that, for over a decade, has connected the worlds of design, industry, and culture.
Under the slogan “Sustainable Fashion and Creative Tradition – Developing Innovative Practices in the Macedonian Fashion Scene,” this season opens a vital discussion on fashion as a language of change – social, cultural, and environmental. Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as a project of national interest and with UNIBank as the general partner, FWSK 31 highlights fashion’s power to create value, shift habits, and build a culture of sustainability.
Sustainability in Action
The edition opens with educational activities and creative workshops where sustainability becomes a hands-on experience. At the Repair Center “Nothing New” (ARNO), designer Irina Tosheva and the Nothing New team will lead the workshop “From Old Clothes to a Unique Fashion Accessory”, dedicated to reuse and giving materials a second life.
The following day, the focus moves to Macedonian Ethno Village, where Izabela Sokolovska from Esnaf Handmade will mentor young creators in interactive workshops titled “Threads of Nature”, supported by Green Land Group – symbolically merging craftsmanship with contemporary eco-awareness.
Main Fashion Weekend: Innovation, Responsibility, and Vision
The main fashion weekend (October 31 – November 2) at the Diamond of Skopje, Carat Office, will feature panel discussions and runway shows within the European project MISSION4WATER, dedicated to innovation and sustainability.
Panels will explore topics such as microplastics, new technologies, and the role of fashion in green development. The GREEN and SUSTAINABLE FASHION – The Nordic-Baltic Story project, organized by the Nordic-Baltic Embassies in the Western Balkans, will also be presented.
Designer Irina Tosheva will unveil her project “Social Sustainability and Empowerment Through Design,” created in collaboration with the Women’s Correctional Facility Idrizovo.
The weekend will culminate with the presentation of the global bodyright movement, under the auspices of UNFPA, which raises awareness about violence against women and girls in the digital sphere, promoting respect, autonomy, and representation for every body online.
The runway show “The Bodyright – Own Your Body Online”, co-produced by Angela Bikova, Carol Farias (SICModa), and Paloma García López (Circular Sustainable Fashion Week Madrid), will be realized with the support of the Embassy of Spain, UNFPA – United Nations Population Fund, Macedonian Fashion Association, and Eptisa, redefining the notions of beauty, ability, and ownership in the digital era.
Runway Shows and the New Generation
The fashion program continues with collections by Mirjana Josifoska, Marija Polyakova, and Miss Mila, bringing urban energy and feminine elegance to the stage. GEORGIYA will present “Season III”, supported by ZIA Jewelry.
Next are the student runway shows from SKALA Academy of Fashion Design and the Izet Curi International Fashion Institute, featuring talented students Alejna Mamuti, Arbesha Abazi, Fikrije Mema, Jeta Morina, Martina Andreevska, and Nazlishah Thaqi.
Evening performances by Deshira Kahrimani, A2 Atelier, and Minnimal will round out the program.
On Saturday, November 1, UNIBank – the general partner of the 31st edition of Fashion Weekend Skopje – will host an exclusive reception within the event, presenting its World Debit Premium Card, inspired by the modern lifestyle.
On Sunday, SIEC will open the topic “Fashion Freedom: Stop Bullying”, followed by runway shows from Eva Tanevska, Anu Handmade, Son of Salome, and Olgica Gjorgieva.
Fashion and Craftsmanship: Ethics, Tradition, and Social Responsibility
The final days of the festival bring the project “Fashion & Craftsmanship” – an exhibition and pop-up collections created in collaboration between designers and artisans – along with the Fashion Auction, organized by KONEKT and FWSK under the patronage of the Embassy of France. The theme “Fashion and Craftsmanship – Collaborations Between Designers and Artisans” emphasizes the connection between tradition and modernity. Proceeds from the auction will go to KONEKT’s fund to support civil organizations working on decent work, education, and inclusion – reaffirming that fashion can also be an act of social responsibility.
The auction will feature leading names from the Macedonian fashion scene: Nikola Buleski, Nikola Eftimov, Lidija Georgieva, Izet Curi, Irina Tosheva, Olgica Gjorgieva, Silvija Mihajlovska (Alshar), Katerina Tosheva, MilkDesign, Terziya, Be., Snezana Efkovska, Ivana Gruevska, Radmila Davidovic Nastev, Esnaf, Aleksandar Stojanov – Zorin, Narodni Nosii, and Marcy’s Handmade.
With its 31st edition, Fashion Weekend Skopje powered by UNIBank once again affirms its role as a regional fashion avant-garde – a platform that not only presents collections but also opens meaningful conversations on sustainability, innovation, and cultural memory. This autumn, FWSK reaffirms its mission: fashion is not just a calendar of shows – it is a movement that proves it can be economy and aesthetics, industry and humanity, vision and tradition. A moment when creativity gains social purpose, and the runway becomes a space where style meets consciousness – under the spotlight, and at the heart of culture.
