The twelfth Fashion Weekend Skopje under the motto “Fashion and cultural heritage “, in October 2016, at the Museum of Macedonia opened a fashion show composed of the final works derived from the several-month project” Fashion and Cultural Heritage “.
The fashion show “Wedding Stories” with which the autumn /winter season 2015/2016 started at the Fashion Weekend Skopje was in the realization of the British Council in Macedonia as an organizer, and the European University – R. Macedonia and the Museum of Macedonia as partners. Students of fashion and graphic design, in cooperation with interior design students and curators from the Museum, presented the stories on the exhibition through which they gave their own, contemporary interpretations of clothing, textiles and jewelry from local wedding traditions.
Fashion Weekend Skopje continues to work through various initiatives to preserve the cultural heritage and connect it to various sectors of creative people and institutions in order to preserve the old spirit, lasting values and inspire new generations.
