Skopje (October 14, 2018) Fashion Weekend Skopje and Macedonian Fashion Association held a fashion show called #SustainableStorymk – Our first expressions yesterday at the Astibo Fashion Group – AFG in Sthip.
Emanuela Trajceska, Sara Redzic, Eva Zarezankova, Natali Naumova, Radica Lazova, Katerina Dimitrovska, Mirjana Josifoska and Dana Koseva under the mentorship of the designer Irina Tosheva worked on the capsule collections made of textile waste.
“The design of zero waste is not really a new technology or material. It’s a new way of thinking – a philosophy that forces you to challenge existing techniques and become a more creative designer.
Setting up different pieces of clothing like a puzzle with different techniques contributes to no fabric that is wasted and you get a new, unique piece that can be worn again. In addition to protecting the environment in this way, we have also received new beautiful forms of fashion, “said the organizers.
Fashion performance is part of the project “Fashion as part of the ecosystem. Sustainable Story “.
In the next phase, the participants will also be mentored by guests from the UK, the talented designer Anna Skodbo and one of the leading UK stylists Rebecah Roy.
